Media One year into POPI - taking stock

1 July 2022 marks the one-year anniversary of the POPI compliance deadline for all organisations, as provided by the government of South Africa.

In honour of the POPI anniversary, our Data Protection and Privacy specialists have curated a detailed and informative 8-part series which will be showcased throughout the month of July.

In order to pragmatically address compliance with POPI, organisations have had to undertake costly exercises in training their staff to comply across all of their operations and have had to conduct personal information impact assessments to practically address areas of non-compliance with POPI within their organisations.
